Job Summary:
Primary responsibility of this position is the support and maintenance of the HR Employee Portal (UKG) and the Learning Management System (Milliman U). This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for HR and payroll and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Additional duties include implementing additional modules and process improvements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Act as subject matter expert for Milliman U.
- Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
- Assist with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll).
- Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools.
- Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
- Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation.
- Train clients and system users on new processes/functionality
- Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
- Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques.
- Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of HRIS or two to four years HR generalist or specialist experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
- System implementation experience preferred
- HRIS (UKG and Absorb preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint and OneNote preferred.
- Ability to work within a globally distributed organization.
- Project management skills including the ability to prepare, prioritize and complete work.
