Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Customer contact, mainly email and web tickets.
  • Answer phone calls and contact customers to resolve queries as needed
  • Document information in ticketing systems and provide the customer with information and updates.
  • Problem determination – you will have access to knowledge databases and various tools to determine the source of the problem you are faced with. You may troubleshoot by guiding the customer through their issue.
  • Follow quality guidelines to ensure customer service is delivered at a standard that matches the quality of the Longboat brand.
  • Work closely with the Project Managers to set up the individual portals at project set-up by adding documents, users etc.
  • Control all user access to the portals (both internal Advarra staff access and customers)
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure a smooth deployment and ‘Go-Live’ of the Longboat portal.
  • Provide usage reports for the portals and Zendesk as requested
  • Provide customer training of the Longboat portal.
  • Update and maintain customer support process documents and SOPs
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new hires.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as effective timekeeping, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and demonstrating respect for others.

Experience

  • One year experience in a fast-paced customer support role.
  • Broad technical/troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Broad browser/troubleshooting knowledge (Chrome, Safari, and IE).
  • Experience using Zendesk and Atlassian JIRA would be beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • An exceptionally clear, concise, and skilled communicator both written and verbal.
  • A strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of online technology.
  • A questioning and inquisitive mind and the ability to “read between the lines” of a support request.
  • A thirst to learn. So if you don’t know how to do it, you seek out new information and solutions. You definitely do not wait to be handed a solution
  • Good team player with ability to work in a multi-functional team.
  • Willingness to assume individual responsibility.
