Job Overview:At Coursera, our Talent team furthers our mission by hiring talented individuals into impactful roles across the organization. As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will support our hiring efforts to build out our second development office in Toronto and make sure our office is running smoothly. Responsibilities to expect will be scheduling phone screens and onsite interviews (travel arrangements and reimbursement as necessary), developing rapport with candidates for follow-up on next steps, and overall office management and functionality. In this role, you will work closely with recruiters and our engineering manager to ensure an outstanding experience for candidates. We welcome your critical eye and advise on improving our hiring process.This is a fast-paced technology startup, and success in this role will be defined by an ability to prioritize, organize, and execute in a multitasked environment, bringing in candidates with a sense of urgency, and identifying opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency.Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process and provide a great candidate experience.
- Communicate professionally and tactfully, treating all candidates with the highest level of confidentiality and customer service
- Handle complex interview scheduling that will consist of international and offsite meetings as well as external video conferencing.
- Partner with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, peers, and other cross-functional partners to ensure a great candidate experience.
- Provide timely follow-up on talent pipelines by managing our Applicant Tracking System
- Participate and execute on recruiting initiatives driven by Recruiting, Talent Ops, PeopleOps, Engineering, and other teams (e.g. recruitment fairs, intern program, diversity conferences)
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience with scheduling and managing calendars, recruiting coordination
Preferred Qualifications:
- You have experience with using applicant tracking systems or similar tools
- Experience with scheduling, hosting batch days, and planning events
- Interest and curiosity in recruiting or operations role with a main focus on scheduling via Google Calendar and Gmail
- Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, highly self-driven, and detail oriented
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions & solutions.
- Discretion and sound judgment, with ability to interact with all levels of candidates and Coursera employees
