Job description
JRA is responsible for contributing to reviewing datasets created from scientific literature. Duties include interpreting scientific literature to extract/identify relevant data and entering/validating these data into the database for access by the scientific community.
Requirements
Candidates possessing the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
- Ability to interpret and dissect scientific research articles/patents for pertinent data.
- Knowledge on Drug regulatory authorities, Clinical trial knowledge and overview of Drug Discovery Lifecycle
- Knowledge on drawing chemical structures is advantageous.
- Extract data from full text documents that include Scientific Patents, Medicinal chemistry Journals and other relevant literature.
- Examine curated/annotated data from multiple sources that cover maximum scope and provide quality outcome specifications in pre-set format.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in area of expertise and share insights which provide competitive advantage.
- Present and communicate data to stakeholders.
- Identify any advance process improvement prospects.
- Contribute to process improvements, suggesting opportunities wherever required.
- Hypothesize and contribute towards automation initiatives.
- Should have comprehensive knowledge of Preclinical medicinal chemistry research, clinical trials, and therapeutic area.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and processes.
- Actively share knowledge and promote a culture of excellence.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques to enable and accelerate data curation and/or annotation is an advantage.
- Ability to catch the inconsistencies while working with messy datasets.
- Good computer proficiency, especially with respect to word processing and excel spreadsheet applications.
