Preferred candidate profile

  1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  2. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
  3. Familiarity with UK VAT rules and tax regulations is a plus.
  4. Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  6. Good organizational and time management skills.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction.

Candidates must know given below:

  1. Basic Accounting Principles: Understand fundamental concepts like double-entry bookkeeping, trial balances, and the accounting equation (Assets = Liabilities + Equity).
  2. Financial Statements: Gain proficiency in preparing and analyzing key financial statements such as the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement.
  3. VAT and Taxation: Familiarize yourself with VAT (Value Added Tax) regulations, rates, and filing requirements, especially in the UK. Learn about tax deductions and exemptions.
  4. Accounting Software: Get hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, which are commonly used for managing bookkeeping tasks.
  5. Bank Reconciliation and Journal Entries: Practice reconciling bank statements with books of accounts and recording journal entries for financial transactions.
