Profile: QA ANALYST, QUALITY ASSURANCE


Position Summary:

The primary task of a QA Analyst is to evaluate loans worked by the respective Business Units and provide actionable insight. Through QA evaluation, a QA analyst will gather information to help improve performance (wherever applicable). The QA Analyst sends a feedback email to the Business Unit with the details of the defects identified and obtains root cause and action plan. Additionally, the QA Analyst identifies areas where there is a gap in process, and these are highlighted to the Business Unit.

Role & responsibilities

  • Accurately perform reviews based on the defined sample size for each QA program.
  • Analyze the root causes for the defects identified through the audits using basic quality tools.
  • Identify process opportunities and report out potential gaps in the process.
  • Should be capable of understanding processes and related risks, preparing testing plans and work programs and preparing reports.
  • Work on test development activities, as needed.
  • Communicating results verbally and in writing to members of senior management.
  • Provide regular updates to management and process owners on testing outcome. Assist in implementing changes or modifications to the Quality Assurance department’s evaluation process.
  • Work with various business unit representatives and process owners to review and test internal systems and processes.
  • Investigate opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
  • Maintain and update appropriate work papers. Create templates basis the exceptions identified.
  • Follow up timely on remediation items.
  • Perform monthly QC and QC for the work performed by the testers.

Qualifications

  • Prefer graduated candidate with sound experience in Mortgage or Financial Services.
  • Exposure to Six Sigma Methodology will be an added bonus.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required
